- Christmas Quiz 2011/12
The quiz has been marked and I must congratulate all those clever clogs who entered, and thank all those who sold quizes. It ended in a three way tie, so you share the prize and your cheques are in the post [honest!]. The event was not a great fundraiser, but
we learnt a lot and it will be back next year.
- The Big Curry 2012
Curry on Cadets! An evening of fun & 'fun'd-raising, first by watching "Carry on up the Khyber" and then eating a grand curry from local Curry House - "Spices" 02083116520. The event raised £47.50 for the ABF and
a similar amount for the squadron.

DOUBLE HONOURS! Cadet Benjamin White (16) has recently achieved a BTEC Level 2 in Music Studies at the same time that his dad, Army Cadet Chaplain, Andrew White, [who is our own squadron chaplain] achieved a Graduateship of the City and Guilds Institute.

Educational charity CVQO celebrated the achievements of a very special group of South London young people this week, in the prestigious surroundings of the Ironmonger’s Hall, City of London.

Two teams of Air Cadets competed in a Health and Safety Quiz with the trustees of the British Safety Council (BSC) this week and won! The cadets from 358 Welling Squadron, Kent Wing were representing the Air Cadet Organisation
at the event held at the British Safety Council Training Centre in Hammersmith, West London.

Mar 2011 – Pancake Night. The cadets had a night of merriment as they commemorated pancake night.

Over 130 specially selected teenage cadets from all over the UK assembled at Britannia Royal Naval College (BRNC), Dartmouth in Devon for a unique camp as part of ‘Cadet 150’, a year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the UK’s cadet movement.

During the period 10-25 August 2008 I travelled to RAF Halton in Bucks to undertake a micro light flying scholarship sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers.

Flt Lt Hill, Staff and Cadets are awarded the Shackleton Trophy for the Best Overseas expedition of the Air Cadet Organisation for their 3 week overseas expedition to Peru 2007.
